Following on from Jamie XX’s steel pan driven solo foray, more forward sounds from the XX camp today with this remix of ‘VCR’ by fellow pioneer Four Tet.
9 minutes long, with twists and turns seemingly every second (my favourite is when the xylophones come in at 2mins 58 ) it’s another great album track remix, as good as John Talabot’s reworking of ‘Shelter’ and Jamie XX’s second take on Basic Space .
