Late last year, To My Boy got us all excited with news of their “new album”:http://www.abeano.com/blog/to-my-boy-us-and-the-wind ‘The Habitable Zone’. Needless to say, since then we’ve been blasting ‘Messages’ at any given opportunity and developed mild OCD from continuously checking the blogosphere for any signs of Jack and Sam stirring into action.
Finally, that day has dawned upon us. ‘Hello Horizon’ is the first single to be taken from ‘The Habitable Zone’, and shows a distinct shift away from TMB’s futuristic ADHD electro-pop. They’ve still got an ear for a great melody but this time around it’s more ethereal and haunting.
As it’s taken from a concept album about the ultimate demise of Earth and humans’ relocation to somewhere else in the galaxy, it’s only fitting the video should feature TMB recreating the entire solar system in the middle of a very English looking field. Check out the scene of the boys pushing a fiery sun up a hill. Epic stuff.
