Sure, there are a lot of XX remixes out there. But it’s testimony to The XX’s boundless talent that while some of them are incredible still the best so far has emerged from in-house.
Jamie, The XX’s producer and beatmaker-in-chief has stepped out from behind his drum pad to produce this brooding chopped and screwed dubstep-esque version. Swelling with equal parts menace and grace, and currently flying out of Rough Trade on 12″, it singlehandedly showcases why this band are so important. Many more reasons can be heard on their debut LP out August 17.
