It’s been a busy week for The Horrors. Following on from their appearance at The Shacklewell Arms in London on Monday, the band’s latest Maida Vale session was broadcast on Radio 1 last night. As well as playing the current single, ‘Still Life’, they covered the soundtrack of 1971 film (or 2000, if you prefer Stallone to Michael Caine) Get Carter. In the phone chat with Huw Stephens Faris talked about the bands Maida Vale experiences, their recent live shows, building their own studio and how his house had been invaded by moths. “They like certain record sleeves” he said. He also explained that the band would be interested in soundtracking a film in the future. Listen to the Get Carter cover below and to hear the full show, that includes tracks from Connan Mockasin, Frank Ocean and Jamie xx visit bbc.co.uk.
