New Klaxons – Flashover

Posted on by admin

The follow-up to the Klaxons Mercury Music Prize winning ‘Myths Of The Near Future’ has been a long time coming (over three years in fact). Having aborted sessions with Tony Visconti, scrapped a session with ‘Myths Of The Near Future’ producer, James Ford and had a record rejected by their label (allegedly) Klaxons finally found a production foil in the unlikely shape of Ross Robinson. Yes, THAT Ross Robinson , the guy who produced At The Drive In’s ‘Relationship Of Command’.

‘Flashover’ is the result. More garagey than ravey, sirens are traded in for an altogether heavier sound. Closer on first listen to MGMT’s LP2 than anything off ‘Myths….’
