‘Possessed’, the scrappy new Eagulls track we shared last month, is set to be released by Italian Beach Babes as part of a split record with Mazes. Devised at the flooded Beacons Festival over a love of jamming to Wipers covers, the disc will also feature both bands covering the Portland group that John Peel once called one of the most underrated bands of all time (truedat). Mazes cover ‘Over The Edge’ track ‘Messenger’ while the Leeds band get tough with the band’s 1979 Sub Pop (‘Is This Real’) song ‘Mystery’. Listen to them both and the bloody brilliant originals, below. The record is available to preorder here.
