New York’s experimental-rock messiahs are back and – predictably enough – getting everyone in a right old tizz. ‘Ice Cream’ is our first taste of life in a post-Tyondai Braxton Battles world and it seems that’s a place that’s shed its complex, mathy skin and opted for something a bit, dare we say it, catchier. Brighter and considerably less work, it’s still got that clever edge and rhythmic wonder that made us fall in love with the band in the first place.
